POP-UP LIBRARY
The Pop-Up Library Comes to You! – PLYMC is introducing a new concept which will bring the library to you! A portable library will be “popping up” in various places throughout Mahoning County over the next few months. For starters, Library customers can find the Pop-Up Library at 20 Federal Place, Youngstown, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 19. Stop by and check out books, return books or sign up for a library card! Library staff members will be on-hand to take care of our customers at this mobile location.

Youngstown Playhouse Sneak Peek of ‘Honk!’ – The Main Library will host a sneak peek of the Youngstown Playhouse’s upcoming production of “HONK!”, the delightful family musical from George Stiles and Anthony Drewe that retells Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved tale of the Ugly Duckling. The production has a cast of almost 30 singers and dancers of all ages. “HONK!” is scheduled at the Playhouse on December 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. and December 8 and 15 at 2:30 p.m. Don’t miss this very special preview at Main Library.  Fun for the whole family.

Rainbow Loom Bracelets - Kids in grades 4 and up, register for our Rainbow Loom craft programs. Rainbow Loom bracelets are fun, unique, and great to give away as presents. - Providing free health assessments at the library. A nurse will be available for blood pressure screenings, pulse, oxygen saturation, and weight. Easter Seals Private Duty is offering this service thanks to a grant to provide assessments to seniors in Mahoning County aged 60 plus, but participation will not be limited to seniors at the library.

Moms and Dads: Bring your camera and smart phone for photo opportunities. Refreshments will be served, compliments of the Friends of PLYMC. Admission is $10 per child.  Each child must be accompanied by an adult; the adult is admitted free.  Admission includes a free voucher to the “Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic” presentation at the Covelli Centre.  The first 100 reservations will be accepted. For reservations, call the Development Office at 330.740.6086. Additionally, the Library is also sponsoring a contest to win tickets. Stop in a library near you between Nov. 16 - Dec. 4 to register to win a family four-pack of tickets to the show.
