March is a great month to try the Library’s language resources: Mango Languages, opens a new window & Little PIM, opens a new window.
We just celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. Do you now have a yearning to speak Irish? There’s a course available in Mango Languages. Next week is Shakespeare Week. How about trying the English (Shakespearean) language course? Or maybe you have many Scots in your background. Why not prepare for National Tartan Day, the day to celebrate Scottish heritage on April 6, by learning some Scottish Gaelic?
Of course, these are just a few of the many languages to choose from in Mango Languages. In fact, there are over 70 language courses for teens and adults. But let’s not forget our youngsters. Little PIM has 12 language courses geared to teach children. With all the many languages available, this is a great resource to keep in mind for learning a language from your heritage and sharing that language-learning experience with your family!
