It allows you to research various topics, including current events, historical, or famous figures of today and yesterday. You can find a large number of reference ebooks and articles from magazines and journals as well as primary source documents, videos, maps and so on.
MasterFile Complete, opens a new window can be used in a variety of ways:
- Keyword Search: just type whatever topic you are interested in to the main page search box. It will pull up everything that has those words mentioned, whether in the title, subject, or within the article itself. You can then narrow the results down by using the various filters, such as Full Text, Peer Reviewed, Publication Date, Source Type, Subject, Lexile Range, and Language.
- Subject Search: click Advanced Search then click Subjects. From here, you can choose from thousands of subjects covered within this resource.
- Publications Search: click Publications in the left-hand column from the main page to check for a specific magazine, journal, or reference work. Then, click on a specific publication title, and you can either search within it or you can choose a specific issue and browse through all the indexed articles.
