YOUNGSTOWN—The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) will close its Springfield branch on Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12 to install a new circulation desk and new technology. The Library will reopen on Monday, August 14.
The Springfield Library will also host an open house on Saturday, August 19 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. to celebrate the new look to the Library branch. There will be refreshments, crafts, games, and the chance to win a prize.

The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) has served the Mahoning Valley since 1880 when the Youngstown Library Association was officially created. With 15 branches across Mahoning County, including our Main Library in downtown Youngstown, the PLYMC is well known for signature services and programs like Summer Discovery and 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten.
