REMINDER – The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) statement on Ohio House Bill 622

Earlier this week, House Bill 622 was introduced.  Aimee Fifarek, PLYMC Director and CEO, stated, “We have a wonderful staff and a very professional and thoughtful process when we select materials to make available to the public.  We provide people with a range of reading material, and we understand that not everyone might agree on what others may choose to read.”  Fifarek added, “We pride ourselves on our focus on family in our libraries. This Saturday, June 1st, we started our Summer Discovery Program, attended by 250 people who brought their children and families to Boardman Park for the event.  Anyone who knows the library knows we put families and children first and provide a safe experience for everyone.”
