Finisher Parties at library branches from August 7 – 10.

Launched on June 1st at Boardman Park, PLYMC’s Summer Discovery Program has been an amazing success this year.  With over 4200 participants in this years’ program, we have seen an increase in participation over last year by over 15%.  The largest gain is in the 0-5 years age group which increased about 25%.

“Summer Discovery is a great program for young people as well as adults and is an important program in our efforts to promote and increase literacy rates in our community,” said Aimee Fifarek, PLYMC Director and CEO. “With thousands of participants this year, our library continues to be a leader in promoting the love of and importance of reading,” add Fifarek

PLYMC will wrap up Summer Discovery with Finisher Parties at each of our Branches where we celebrate those who completed the program. A list of the parties can be found on our website: https://plymc.bibliocommons.com/v2/events?q=Summer%20Discovery%20Finisher%20Party., opens a new window  Participants in the program can still be listed as Finishers by submitting their information online or at their library through August 15.
