The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County will host a Business Resource Fair on December 9th from 10am to Noon at the Main Library at 305 Wick Avenue. The purpose of the Fair is to provide small businesses with the opportunity to access local resources to help them grow their existing business or to help those who want to start a new one. The Fair is available to everyone in the community. Tables will be staffed by federal, state, and local agencies allowing participants to get one-on-one access to resources and relationships vital to success in business.
“The Business Resource Fair is hosted by the Library and participating organizations including over 25 local, state, and federal agencies,” said Stuart Gibbs, PLYMC Business and Nonprofit Specialist. “This is an incredible opportunity for business owners, entrepreneurs, and for those aspiring to start their own business to access free resources that might otherwise be unavailable to them,” added Gibbs.
Kim Calvert, Sr. Vice President, Marketing & Membership from the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber said, “The Regional Chamber is excited to talk to businesses about cost-saving programs we offer—for example, healthcare, payroll processing and energy/natural gas, just to name a few—and a myriad of additional resources that are available for all businesses, regardless of size and industry. Our Director of Economic Opportunity & Inclusion Initiatives will also be on hand to discuss specific initiatives that are designed to assist women-, minority- and veteran-owned businesses in our community.”
“The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County seeks to be a contributor to a thriving Mahoning County by creating opportunities for individuals to take the next steps in their journey,” said Erin Phemester, PLYMC Chief Experience Officer. "We are committed to doing our part in supporting economic development in the Valley, so we are proud to offer this Business Resource Fair in conjunction with other resource providers.” added Phemester.
